2000 - 2025
Game shows, along with reality shows, had a huge increase in the 2000s and continue to grow. There is even the Game Show Network now that features game shows until 4 am each day.
Just some of the game shows: Amazing Race (there has been an increase in competition shows), Survivor, Deal or No Deal (Howie Mandel is host), Are You Smarter Than a Sixth Grader?, Cash Cab, The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, The Golden Bachelor, Farmer Wants a Wife, Fear Factor, Wipeout, 99 to Beat (Ken Jeong and Erin Andrews host), The Floor hosted by actor Rob Lowe, The Bridge, American Says hosted by John Michael Higgins, Bingo Blitz hosted by Valerie Bertanelli, Tic Tac Dough hosted by Brook Burns, The Wall (Executive Producer is LeBron James), Common Knowledge hosted by Joey Fatone, Match Game has been hosted by Alec Baldwin and Martin Short, Card Sharks hosted by Joel McHale.
You will notice that there has been a trend for game shows to be hosted or produced by TV and movie stars, news anchors and sports figures.
To be continued...

The only one of those I've ever seen is Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? I only watched it a few times. We saw it at a friend's house since we stopped watching television in the early 2000s.

I've been watching the Game Show Network lately. I especially enjoy the trivia shows. Keeps my mind sharp and I can see how much I know or don't know!

I go in spurts. Right now I watch game shows. At other times I watch true crime shows, courtroom shows. I also am a closet reality show watcher.

I think I outgrew them by the start of the 21st century.

I always enjoyed those old game shows like Password; The Price is Right and Let's Make a Deal. My mom's favorite was Wheel of Fortune. And Jeopardy was my favorite.
Seems game shows never go out of style even today.

I've watched on with Rob Lowe as the host, but I don't think it was called The Floor. Some of these others are familiar to me. I used to be quite a Bachelor fan but I don't watch it anymore.

I miss the bygone days of great game shows. I grew up watching The Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and more. Such great memories. And even today there are great shows that are on; many of those you listed above are ones I enjoy watching.

I've seen a lot of these ones...except for the ones like Survivor, Amazing Race, Farmer wants a wife, any of the bachelors, etc...but the rest of the list I pretty much have. Usually my mom has it on the game show channel So I see them 4-6 on weekdays lol
