Because I studied a bit of psychology (and because I have had some success working with "developmentally delayed" kids), I have been deemed our resident "expert" in working with such kids. Today, I get to share my "wisdom" at a morning staff meeting. I don't usually work on Sundays, so I'll make a few extra bucks for my rambling. It comes down to developing a "relationship" with these kids through music. I have found that kids on the Autism spectrum often have an incredible sense of music at an intuitive level. I could go on, but I could write paragraphs about this subject. Wish me big happy joy joy this morning.
