The heat is broken in one of the rooms I share. This morning it was 42 degrees F in there. Last I checked it was 46. This is an issue all over the building. So I’m bringing my classes here. Normally I’d just teach in here but today’s topic includes alcoholic fermentation and the production of beer and wine. I have no problem explaining it to my students but I’m not trying to have the whole place listening to that.
Sooooo the students are having a free period. The media specialist has games in here. Some of the students are playing together. Some are just on their phones. I know it isn’t realistic to expect the heat to be fixed by tomorrow. I will have to come up with a plan B.

Your school district should have guidelines for indoor temperatures. 42 degrees is not going to cut it for a learning environment. That stinks...plan B, in my opinion, is for them to get busy and either get it fixed or forget it and have E learning days.

If enough students pack in the room, it should warm up quickly.
I hope you're doing okay today.
