Even if you will not be home for Christmas you probably have some idea what is going to be served for the holiday meal. I think I am going to have ham, scallopped corn, broccoli cheese casserole, veggie tray, sweet potatoes and rolls..Christmas cookies for dessert. I don't need to get too carried away because just son and friend will be coming down. Depends on how much time I have I might bust out the Santa jello mold too. What will you be having?

I just rely from our chef, my wife. She knows what's good food for Christmas.

Sounds good. Thanksgiving and Christmas menus are the same. I'll have turkey with dressing, sour cream and garlic mashed potatoes, sweet potato pie, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, fruit salad, and applesauce raisin cake, the only difference between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

@FourWalls I am getting a small ham today. One big enough for a few leftovers but not so big I am sick of it or have to freeze a large quantity.

@snowy22315 I don't like gravy on my potatoes. Just the meat and dressing!

Yep! My father is taking us to a buffet called "Golden Coral" for Christmas dinner. My Mother said she didn't feel like cooking this year.

Golden Corral is really good. I have been to the ones near here a few times. If I wasn't cooking for Christmas, I might suggest going there too.

That will be a good and tasty menu for you guys. I wrote yesterday about all the dishes my family brings for the Christmas potluck. I can practically taste that seven layered salad. So yum!

We'll be eating at our son's house, so I'm not sure about the menu. I made snowball cookies and glazed pecans to take, plus mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce.

We;re eating too many sweets right now. And a friend gifted us two little boxes of chocolates for our anniversary. SO....one box will be for Christmas. Small nibblers for the main meal. Probably going to make pie dough and fashion some into hand pies- mashed potato and cheese in them. Cream cheese and jam small quarter sandwiches. Olives. Cranberry. Might make a plum cobbler. Above all, pretty china to make the meal different than usual.
