18 December - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from Dark, Dreary, Dismal, Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's been that way all day. It's 39 F and there is still snow on the ground. I really expected to see nothing but green, but it's still white out there. It's been a good day. I'm thankful for the chiropractor appointment this morning. They couldn't find my appointment in their computer. I had my appointment card. I got seen and got help with the workout I do on the foot cycle which leaves me feeling like I can barely move when I finish with it. She told me to use a heating pad while I'm working out. I'm thankful for the shopping trip to Hy-Vee right after. We also stopped at Barnes and Noble. She found a book she wanted, and I got the bananas, bread, and pasta I needed from Hy-Vee. I won't need to get anymore food until I buy for my open house on January first. Hopefully, I won't spend too much for it. We'll see. I have a major bill coming out on the 30th. So, I'm watching every penny I'm spending right now. I'm thankful for Canasta today. We played two full games. Each team won a game. My partner and I slam dunked them in the first game. The second was closer. I'm thankful for the work I did on Faith to Believe this afternoon. I have less than a hundred pages on that one. Then I look for a proofreader. So, I could get it finished before the end of the year and have it published soon after the first of the year. That's what I'm hoping for. I'm sorry I didn't have time to get here today. Tomorrow is a free day. I don't have anything going on and my neighbor is leaving for Minnesota tomorrow instead of Saturday, so I'm not going anywhere. If I have a need, I can call my son. I don't see that happening. Instead, I see myself getting caught up with all my notifications for here and WordPress. What are you thankful for today? Let me know in the comments below.
