Young mothers can have it tough

There is always something new to learn but even so, some things still surprise me. A friend has become allergic to cold and now carries an EpiPen. Imagine being allergic to cold!! It seems it is quite difficult to control but so far she is managing. Then I read an article about post-partum rage. This causes new Mums to erupt with all-consuming rage and over the smallest things. It can be fuelled by hormonal shifts, sleep deprivation and stress. Young mothers are reluctant to talk about their problems for fear of appearing to be a ‘bad mother’. It seems another indication of how our lives have become more stressful as more and more demands are put on people.
