As most of you know one of the medical issues that I have is Arthritis. I should take a walk everyday. But because it has been so cold lately I have not been able to. Also the cold bother's me too. Yesterday and the day before I had to go out and I ended up walking more than I usually do and it was cold and I was carrying stuff. So my feet, ankles and lower leg bones were hurting the past two days. Does the weather effect you?

I have arthritis almost everywhere now it has gotten since this cold weather has come this year in my thumbs, in that area where the bottom of my thumbs meet the hand. Wonder why the cold doesn't bother you?

@dfollin I don't know. Maybe because I refuse to go outside in the cold weather.

@DaddyEvil Well sometimes I have to go out. No one else in this household will go get the mail but me. Two weeks after we moved in the post office decided to close the outgoing boxes and that if we need or want to mail something I have to walk eight blocks to the post office to mail stuff. And sometimes walk to the store to get food.

The cold definitely affects my arthritis. My muscles get even tighter, which also makes the arthritis in my neck and back even worse.

Yes. I have arthritis really bad; and the cold does bother it. I have spinal stenosis which affects my walking and standing. I'm sorry you've been in pain. I hope you feel better.

@dfollin You're welcome. Unfortunately yes. Hubby and I should have moved to the Keys when we had the chance.

I get cold easily if I am outside very long now. I didn't used to, but I weighed a lot more back then, I suppose the extra weight kept me warm? But I do know if my feet get cold, I feel cold all over, and they can hurt if they get too cold. And I dress for cold weather, but when it's super cold that doesn't seem to matter.

Lol, extra weight kept you warm, lol Good one! My feet are always cold. It could be 2,000 degrees outside and my feet would be cold! LOL!

Oh, yes. I'd like to get out and walk at least a few times a week. But I don't. I have gotten into a lifestyle of being in my room and I have been out for over a year. I went down to the bank this last summer. Was out for about an hour and that's been it for a long, long time. I have social anxiety, and I don't venture out around people. Plus I don't trust people like I used to. I'd rather just be in my room and communicate with my grandson and my daughter. I had PTSD for several years and so now it is doubly hard for me to even have any desire to go out. I'm sorry you have such a bout with arthritis and that this happens to you. I have that too. I am continually reading online about foods I can eat to help with inflammation and such. I just posted about horseradish and has this benefit. It seems like the cold is bad and the heat is bad. No happy medium. Do you use creme aids for pain? They really help me. Aspercreme is one I use a lot.

That's sad that you feel more comfortable not being out. I have lived in this apartment complex for three and a half years and not been out of this complex much except to go to the doctors or the hospital. It is depressing! I also have PTSD. I am surprised with having Arthritis you don't just go out and walk more. It helps the doctor told me. I don't like horsradish!
