Warmed Up

Overnight. It was 14 when I went to bed and 20 when I got up. I have been up a couple of hours and it's now 28. We should get around 40 today. And right now it says 60 for Christmas day. I like that.
Nothing special today. I might finish getting ready for Christmas in case my son shows up. I will be surprised if he does. But I need to put some presents away and get others out.

Oh, yeah, I like it! One of the weathermen posted a little factoid: it’s forecast to be the same temperature on Christmas Day that it was here on Derby Day!

That is a cold night. It's been staying in the mid 30s and 40s here at night. We still have January and February to go through. A lot of rain right now. I hope we are getting the same amount of snow up in the mountains. We sure need it. It's not doing much for the ski resort. Too warm for good snow.

14 to 60 is a big range. I hope that you have some sort of layered clothing to help with such variation.
Christmas is just a few days away now.
I am using the fact that i can sleep a little more tomorrow as a "self" excuse to be here more today.
The day on Saturday (20 Dec 25) was quite cold. Cold winds were blowing in between.
Dense to Shallow Fog prevailed almost through the day.
Sunshine came here just for an hour.
So more cold and heavy fog days expected here.

It is frigid here yesterday and again today.
My husband parked our car on the street in front of our son's place, and we had rain and mild weather on Thursday, but we had a flash freeze on Friday morning, and when I got out of the car, there was a thick coating of ice on the street, it was from the water running to the storm sewer.
I am ready for Christmas, but have to wrap the girls Christmas box as well as that for their parents.
My husband is going out tomorrow to shop.

@wolfgirl569 Next week should run mild, the high for Christmas day is like 9 or 10 degrees.
That insanely mild for this area for this time of the year.

Hope it warms soon.
We got lucky and the wind did mostly dry the roads Thursday night before we got to freezing.

We're supposed to reach 73F on Christmas day. That will be nice.
We're at 54F at 10:35 am and looking for a high of 57F today.

Getting more and more strange as Christmas approaches somehow this year want it to come and go away, I guess it is the years flowing so quickly. As a child I could never imagine I would still be here in 2026.
