Another mystery solved

I received an email a day or 2 ago from "Electronics Expo" or something like that with a UPS delivery date. I was like "what?" I had no clue what type of electronic device I could have ordered.
A neighbor's friend came over today to pick up the massive lasagna that I made for her after she just had a baby last week. When I opened the door I found a box waiting for me. When I opened it up I discovered that it was a bluetooth cordless waterproof speaker. Not something I ever would have ordered.
So I looked at the invoice and it said it was sold to my ex at my current address and shipped to me. I was so confused. Sometimes our accounts still wind up being stupidly intertwined so I texted him to see if he had ordered it and was expecting it because I had not.
His response was "Merry Christmas. I think this will work well as a replacement for the Dot." He and I have been trying to get that thing back online for well over a month. That was sweet of him. We've been divorced for several years and I don't send him Christmas presents but I do always send him something for his birthday which is today. I know it is important to acknowledge the birthdays of those who have them close to Christmas. He hasn't sent Christmas presents to me in all of this time. So. . . odd but sweet.
Apparently he must be in between girlfriends as he has been texting way more often than usual. Those of you who have read my posts over the years I'm sure can imagine what some of them are like.
I'm not complaining about that. Like I've said it always ebbs and flows. What seems to be constant though is our love for each other.
I appreciated the thought and that I could get the thing set up in just a few minutes. That's about my speed with technology.

A very nice surprise. I got a surprise yesterday that was truly a total blessing...no details to share, but it was so special and needed.
Very glad for you!

I’m glad he showed proper appreciation. Well, as much as you can over the phone.
