If this fog ever lifts

We are on our second day of really dense fog.
Our plan was to go to a small zoo in the area, and then go out to eat. That would be in Hutchinson, about an hour and a half away.
We were going to come home through Newton, because I need to pick up a prescription and some produce.
The fog was real dense all day yesterday and I have woke up to the same today. The temperature, in fahrenheit, is to be around 65. It may get to be really nice.
That is, if this fog ever lifts. Visibility across most of central Kansas is less than 1/4 mile.

It is dangerous 5o travel when the fog is heavt. Isn't it? How do you dissipate that heavy fog?

The sun eventually burns it off. It was gone before noon. Weather was great.

We had a dense fog advisory this morning. I don’t know if it was expected or not, because all of our weathermen are on Christmas break and not doing their regular blogs.

We had heavy cloud cover this morning but that has shifted to partly cloudy and 63F now. 73F is our high today.

Long ago, when I lived near San Diego, the weather forecasters called it "night and morning low clouds." To me it was fog.

Eventually the sun broke through. It has been like that for three or four days, I think because the ground is warm.
