Can't wait!

I am so bored! I can't wait for the warm weather. At least then at least I can go take a walk instead of sitting in this darn small bedroom! It's bad enough I have lived in this town for about three and a half years and cannot go anywhere but the doctors. But now that has changed too! I can't wait for it to get warmer! What is the climate like where you are?

If there's a Walmart or grocery store close to you, you can walk around in them no matter what the weather is like outside. You just have to be able to get to them. We just went from 70F at noon to 29F at 6 pm... We have temperature swings like that all the time. I live in Missouri on a plateau at the edge of the Ozark mountains.

@DaddyEvil It's okay. I'm just feeling sentimental tonight. Beau Teak is still getting around just fine but his heart is thumping so hard. Makes me aware of too much.

@dfollin .......Sounds like you are really in a pickle location wise. We are lucky. We've lived here for years and have a grocery store two blocks away, a convenience store across the street and Taco Bell across the street too. And we are able to get our groceries delivered to us. This makes it weird to hear of how others fair around the country in getting their food.

@dfollin .......I used to use Walmart, but they made too many mistakes. I went to the local grocery here. Albertson's is much better. I just get the cheapest time frame. I've never have been on the plus program because I just pick the cheapest time. It would be hard to move away from here with so many of the stores we use so close and us not having transportation. You really had a lot of options. Sounds like a nice area. Why did you move?

Christmas Day it was 78 degrees, and yesterday (in Oklahoma) it was 86 degrees. Tonight though, the temperature has dropped, and the high tomorrow is 38 degrees. This time of year I need the cooler temperatures to make up for the constant 100+ degree summer and fall (it was 100 degrees this fall). I do feel for people who hate the winter so much. And being cooped up is miserable.

My friend lives in Macon, GA and it has been strangely cold there too.

I wish you knew someone who could at least give you a joy ride. My little town has a bus service that comes right to the door if you need that help.

That's good. Someone on the bus told me that she heard something about that service being a possibility. But I will need to check on that after the holidays.

Your lucky! I don't really like it too hot. But hot is better than cold.

You can read books online or offline. When I was unemployed, I used to spend time in reading books offline. At that time I didn't have S phone.

I can really feel your frustration, being cooped up like that can make the days feel endless. It is not a great feeling. Cold weather has a way of shrinking our world even more when it already feels limited. And warm days bring freedom in simple ways, like being able to step outside and just walk. It’s especially hard when your outings have mostly been tied to necessities like doctor visits or similar ones. That sense of being stuck can wear on anyone over time. At least warmer weather gives you something hopeful to look forward to. Where I am, the climate is fairly equal most of the year, with cool winters and very hot summers. Even small stretches of decent weather sometimes make a big difference to mood and energy. I hope the warmth comes soon for you so you can reclaim a bit of space and fresh air. Enjoy the time!
