I know, I am a very irregular poster these days, but I still think of my friends on here often. I am doing well, we had a very lovely Christmas eve and Christmas. Not much going on in my life, writing has slowed down to a crawl with A!. But that's okay, I have been delving a little more into my other hobby, genealogy. My cousin Chris introduced me to a site that gives you your deep roots. Turns out I am a Celt through and through, quite amazing. If you are interested PM me. I have a new great grandson (Oliver) due in February. We had a shower for my granddaughter in law that was amazing. Dogs are all well. Jack who is 14, has a girlfriend, so sweet, she is sportsy just like him. I had a POD delivered today with my stuff from the Florida House. I have renters for Jan-March and after that I hope to sell it, one less thing to worry about. Kasey and her friend went down 2 weeks ago and loaded it for me. I had Chris bring me in the first box so I can go through it. Lots of Al's clothes. I am pretty boring frankly. I hope to catch up on all the much more exciting things you have been doing.

I love that baby shower set up. It's good to see you here again, nice to know you're well and having some fun .... to me it sounds like fun anyway. I hope you get a really good price for that house. HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Prices all over have risen way too high but I noticed while listening to Carson's monologes that prices were considered really high as far back as 1972 so not much has really changed.

@rebelann that is the truth. We paid less than $30,000 for our home in 1973 and our $180 a month was a struggle to pay for many years. Al worked 2 jobs and I babysat until the 3 kids were old enough for me to work. It's all relative. Our pay was way less than what's made today.

I am getting 3 times what I paid for it, so I am happy. Prices have really risen in Florida since I bought it. It is in a trust so the profit will really go to my kids eventually with me only getting the interest the money earns. You have a Great New Year TOO!!

Good to hear from you again. Our life is pretty boring at the moment but it might be better than any alternative. I'm very careful what I wish for nowadays.

lol Yes I have found that out the hard way. Now I just leave my life in God's hands and realize that boring is better than some of the alternatives. However, yesterday we had a game day with friends, my daughter Kasey was my partner so it was different but still lots of fun.

Thank you, I am still working through the grieving process and there are times when it just take to much energy to write and respond. But, I seem to be coming back to life so maybe 2026 will be the year for recovery. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Happy New Year! it's always nice to see you and hear about what you've been up to. I'm glad you had a good Christmas and wow how exciting that you're having a new great grandson. Hope that the sale of the Florida house goes smoothly once you put it on the market. Things here have been good. My life isn't very exciting either

It’s so wonderful seeing you here. You must know how much I have thought about you over the years. You have been through so much, but I am sure between your loving family and your genealogy you are keeping busy. Good luck with selling your house.

So far he is enjoying his staying there and is very determined to buy it, It is going to be a bit of a problem because it is in the trust but I will go talk to a trust lawyer before we do the closing so I do everything right.I went on a 14 day cruise to Canada with friends in the fall of 2024 and I was supposed to go to Iceland in 2025 but my friend had a family emergency, We are talking about new ideas right now. My cousin in Vancouver wants me and Kasey to come and do an Alaska cruise so that may be in the future as well. Once my grief brain clears, and it will, I will be in a better place. I'm sure you can imagine what I am going through I know you and hubby are like Al and I and being a single suddenly is not easy but luckily I have family and my friends have not abandoned me as some couple friends do. I never feel like a second wheel. I can't even explain how excited I am to talk to you. Are you in Florida, is Orville still around?

@BelleStarr If the house is in a trust, you really need a good lawyer who can help you. I hope you can sell it to the renter an happy he loves it. You certainly have been surrounded by love, and traveling with friends and or family is a great way to take your mind off things. We are in Florida and Orville greeted us. Last year we had to drive because he had hernia surgery and wasn’t cleared early enough for anything. By the time the doctor checked him out, it was too late to make airline reservations and car transportation, so we drove and took our time. Didn’t get here until Christmas Day, but made it in time for the Holiday party which was so much fun. Love you! So many memories…….

I'm so glad to see you here again...and thank you for the update. This may be news to you depending on how long you're been gone. My husband passed away in January. One bright spot...I joined the 21st century and bought a smartphone. I hope to see you around more often!!!

It’s always nice to hear from a mylotter , even if the visits are less frequent these days. Glad to know you had a warm and lovely Christmas Eve and Christmas. It sounds peaceful to let writing slow down while giving space to other interests. Genealogy has a wonderful way of grounding us, and discovering deep Celtic roots is fascinating. It is interesting in many ways. The upcoming arrival of your great-grandson Oliver in February is such joyful news. That baby shower sounds like a beautiful celebration of family and new beginnings. Jack having a sporty girlfriend at fourteen is irresistibly sweet. Sorting through the POD, especially Al’s clothes, must carry a mix of memories and emotions. Your life doesn’t sound boring at all—it sounds full of love, reflection, and quiet meaning. Enjoy the day!
