When was your last checkup?

I know some of you don’t ever go to the doctor, and that’s great if you don’t feel like you need to. I went last week to go over a medicine I am on, and they did a blood work up.
It all looks good, from cholesterol to thyroid to liver enzymes (that one is a big deal since I have a liver disease. I’ve lost 47 pounds (had to with taking steroids earlier this year) , my dizziness is confined to when I get a migraine, and even the migraines are less).
I won’t get into my back, and I’m currently waiting on that doctor for my telehealth appointment, but hey, you can’t win them all. I’m thankful for what I do have going for me!
When and how did your last checkup go?

I had two eye checks in the last few weeks. The Optometrist agreed I needed new glasses and Medicaid paid for them.
The Ophthalmologist gave me steroid eye drops and set my new appointment for the 23rd of December which I missed. He did prescribe another bottle of the eye drops and I need to make a new appointment with him to get my eyes checked again.
I got my thyroid checked in November and the new specialist (Endo) said my present dose of Methimazole is working fine but he wanted to talk with my Ophthalmologist to see why my eyes weren't responding to the medication... The eye specialist told him they were already damaged from so many years before I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. (That's what I told him already. The new Endo hasn't said anything more to me, though.)
Nice weight loss!
I've managed around 55 lbs this year, which brings me below 250 lbs.
I'm glad you're having fewer migraines now and hope they continue to lessen.

Thanks, DE. You’ve done really well on the weight loss too! It’s harder and harder to lose weight as our metabolism changes especially when you don’t get the chance to do much exercise. I’m allowed to walk, or get in a pool. And my pool has been closed for four years. And, it’s not like you can exactly lift weights!

@DaddyEvil I checked into that, and there is an outdoor pool not TOO far from here, but you have to pay, and I’m not sure right now if it’s feasible. My food stamps have still not been reinstated since the government shutdown ended. I’m still trying to get that fixed.

@AmbiePam You're very welcome.
My exercise routine has been to walk back and forth across the kitchen while I'm waiting for things to cook. (I'm usually reading on my phone while I'm pacing across the kitchen and back to the chair by the window.)
Thank you.
I wish you had a local pool to use, like @Sallypup does. I'd love a pool to be close enough to me that I can use it, too.

Last year my health decided to fall apart more. I have a deep aversion to needles. That means that I hadn't had bloodwork in literally 20 or more years. Last year all heck broke loose. The must do it!!! blood work showed that I am inflamed: arthritis. Huge duh. And I freaked docs out with cellulitis. That won me a couple of days in the hospital. No I am not doing more bloodwork for who knows when unless my swollen legs and feet decide to do something more.

My last check up was good except for my A1c. It is still not bad. And my eye checkup was good. And my dental was good. At my request due to a family member developing thyroid problems, my primary had "everything you can check on thyroid" checked and according to the nurse that was all good.

Last year, in December, because I got a virus and a fever. But I am okay now. I don't do telehealth, I really don't like it. It is convenient, but sometimes I wonder if they can really assess my health problem without seeing me in person.

Just a couple of months ago. I have to go to the urologist on Friday. I hate going out when it's cold. There is another huge batch of s**w over us now. Already had the drive plowed once.
Congrats on the weight loss.
