Good Afternoon, Friday, 2 January - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good afternoon from cold Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's 13 F and feels like 3 F.
I'm combining two posts in one since I didn't get on here this morning.
I had a different kind of night last night. I went to bed early and three hours later, I was wide awake. I was up between midnight and 1:30 when I went to bed and got back to sleep until after 5:30 this morning. In all, I got about 6.5 hours of sleep.
It's been a good day. I'll get the notifications done when I post this. I enjoy reading your posts and interacting with you.
You know how self-doubt can rule your life? I asked AI about my writing and 'she' told me I have a unique writing style, different from mainstream authors who focus on markets. My focus is on the story and the reader. That made me feel good.
I'm thankful I finally figured out what I wanted for the cover for Love's Illusion as seen below. No, your eyes aren't funny. It's intentionally blurred. That's what an illusion is, it's blurry. It's not in focus.
I'm thankful I went with my neighbor to her doctor's appointment this morning. After her appointment, we went to Urgent Care. The good news is I no longer have COVID. I thought it was over. She did say I could have had one of several strains of the Corona Virus. What she did say is that yes, I'm sick. I have a very bad cold that is close to becoming pneumonia. I got in there in time to stop that from happening. I have two antibiotics and an inhaler. I've been sick for three weeks. It's the longest I've ever been sick. I won't be going to church again on Sunday.
I'm thankful we went shopping. Even though my energy was quickly depleting, I needed food as much as my neighbor did, who hadn't been shopping yet since she got home from Minnesota. I got mostly finger food as I really don't have the energy to cook.
All in all, it was a good day. What are you thankful for today? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. The cover for Love's Illusion.

How nice to get such nice positive feedback from AI.
Oh, dear. Nar pneumonia? That's not good. I had a stint with pneumonia years ago now. It lasted for months. My one real remembrance from that experience was that I had to set up at night. I couldn't lay normally in bed. That was hard to get used to. Take good care of yourself.

@just4him ........I was not in a good way back then. I think my immune system is stronger now than it was then.

I hope you can show us the cover of your book.
Always take care of yourself and eat fruits and healthy food.
If you can't exercise, you can just walk every morning.
Do you know that you can easily lose weight by simply walking every day rather than exercising every day?

Thank you. I'm glad I went too. I almost didn't go with my neighbor. The only reason I did was the opportunity to go to Urgent Care.

Yes, but even the bad was good. It's a step in the right direction and I'll be over this cold soon, I hope.

Good evening! Seems the weather in Green Bay is still brutally cold. Hope you are staying warm and comfortable. Good to know you are enjoying the interactions here and that the reflections are thoughtful and genuinely engaging. That does energize us many a time. Self-doubt in many ways is a powerful thing. If used in right way, we develop our ways and solve our problems. You have been able to channelise well when it comes to story writing. Loved the meaning behind the blurred cover for Love’s Illusion. The symbolism matches the title beautifully and intentionally. It was kind of you to go with your neighbour for her appointments although you yourself is not well. Relieved to know COVID is no longer an issue. Three weeks is definitely a long time to be sick. You feel depleted and unable to do things you want to do. I just had a normal day. Enjoy the time!

Thank you. Yes, self-doubt is powerful. It's always good to know things are on the right track and my writing is. I'm glad you like the cover and the explanation for it's blurry picture.
Yes, my energy depletes easily. Even doing laundry this morning, I need to rest now to get my energy level up again. Thank you. I'm glad it's no longer an issue as well.
