Reading goal update

My reading goal for last year was 77 books. I ended it with only 48. On Goodreads it will say 47 because the last book I read wasn’t found on the website so I couldn’t add it to my books read. I’m bummed that I didn’t reach my goal but reading 48 books is still pretty good. Since I didn’t reach my goal last year I will keep the same one for 2026. The first book I’m reading this year is Hemingway’s Garden of Eden. I’m enjoying it so far. How many books did you read last year? Did you set a reading goal for 2026?

There was never a target for that. I'm glad you read books and have a lot of knowledge.

@Laurakemunto Books are a broad and good window of knowledge for us.

My goal last year was to start reading again; but I didn't do it. I used to be a voracious reader. Maybe some day I will start again. I have a lot of good books to read.

Why’d you stop reading?

@LindaOHio I’ve never tried it but there are audiobooks now. Sometimes I’m reading and my mind drifts to other things.

That is good. I used to read a lot. But I can no longer keep my mind focused. I watch a lot of TV though. I could tell you how many movies I watched last year.

@lovebuglena ......Somewhere between 260 and 300 I think. That doesn't include the series I watch and the stuff on YouTube I watch on a daily basis.

I don't make reading goals anymore. Kindle says I've finished 80 books this year but Kindle counts compilations as one book. MOST of the books I've read have been compilations.

I have no idea how many books I read. I should start keeping a list of that I read. I'm sure it would encourage me to read more.

I didn’t set a goal, but I read about twenty. I don’t read nearly as much as I did when I was younger.

Some people manage to read hundreds a year. Wonder how they do that.
