So far my corner has had mild weather. Barely any night frost all through December. It feels strange to see green pansies and petunias. Today we might get an inch of rain. And with that wild and windy weather comes another round of It could flood! talk. Today the young lady from the writing group showed up again. She needs money. We have hired her to do things like put the better shower curtain up and walk the dogs. She used to live in Alaska so she took first Moxe then Rufus on a walk today- rain or not. The super good thing that the woman did today was helping my hubby figure out a computer robot kit. Hubby is blind, yes, but he also has an engineering degree plus a Masters in adult Ed. He needs to be doing brain work or go nuts. Seeing him work out problems today was super nice. The hour spent exploring what is supposed to a kid's science toy really cheered him up. Sharing space and ability is such a grand way to be on a blustery, wet day.

I'm sure the puppies enjoyed getting out in the wind and rain. And I'm happy your hubby was enjoying himself.

@sallypup You're welcome. I can't do as much as I used to... And yes, it's always annoying when I find something else I can't do anymore.

@DaddyEvil It gets tiring, needing to think about stretching constantly.

We've had some warm weather in the mid 40s and 50s. A lot of rain which I enjoy. And even some fog. It's nice of you to find some things for this lady to do. I know how your husband feels. I have to have my mind busy too or I go nuts. I even play some games on my phone. Getting old is no fun. It's nice to have family and friends around to help out when needed.

@celticeagle Hi! The weather is making things get a bit floody here. The older I get the more I feel isolated- daughter is so far away. It's hard to know who to trust and allow into our house. There are so many folks needing even 20 bucks. Neither hubby nor me should think about getting up on even a stool and stretching up above us to reach things like shower curtains.

I’m so glad your husband got to do that. And that you can help the lady out. Moxe and Rufus no doubt enjoyed it too!

@AmbiePam She said that Moxe was better behaved on this walk than the last one.

I can't say I blame either of you. I'm glad things worked out, though.
