I am so hungry

I asked the nurse if she had any snacks because the clear liquids I was given for dinner simply didn't get the job. She gave me 3 mini packets of Saltines and a bottle of water. As if that was going to make a difference. She did tell me that they switched me over to regular meals.
I'm not a big fan of eggs these days but I would happily scarf down scrambled eggs. Give me all of the carbs--bagel, English muffin, French toast, etc. Please let it be bacon and not sausage.
When you are actually admitted the kitchen will call you and tell you your options. For a unit like this where people shuttle in and out so quickly it would be a waste of time.
We shall see how tomorrow goes. I can only stay 1 night in this unit so if they don't discharge me then I'll be moved upstairs and will be able to customize my meals. Obviously I'd rather be back at the apartment with the cat crew though.

I'd offer to sneak in with food from somewhere if I thought I could sneak in without getting caught... If you saw me, you'd understand why that probably isn't possible.
I hope you survive until they serve breakfast.

I hope they can sort something for you ….
I will have to catch up on your posts as I’ve missed everything recently.

This is common in hospitals. I have learned the hard way to openly ask for what you want and how much. I understand they may say no, but one never knows. At times, there are dietary restrictions that we have to follow, and if that's not the case, then carry snacks that are a saviour. I feel we should invest all our energy in getting well and getting out of the hospital as soon as possible. Good Luck

Please stay long enough for them to give you a thorough workup. We are all worried about you.

I wish for you to get better as soon as possible and to stay out of the hospital. Being at home even with home help is better than to be in a place where everyone is sick!!

I've been stuck waiting at the ER or the hospital so many times...I learned the hard way. I keep some of those little drink packets in my handbag, along with a couple of granola protein bars. They have saved me more than once. I hope breakfast is served VERY early!!
