I Was Tired Yesterday

I didn't come here at all yesterday. I got up about 10a. and reminded the kids we had an appointment about 2p. to take care of a financial matter. So, by 1:30p. they were nearly ready, and I think we ordered up the Uber by a few minutes after 2p. We got downtown and back home within an hour. The toll on me was not as bad as I thought it would be. I made it down the stairs Lickety split. The hardest part was getting into the cars each time to and back. Have to climb over the lip of the floorboard that comes up. It's always hard for me to get my right hip to do what I need it to do. It was a nice day too. No rain as it has been doing for days on end recently. The sky was lovely, and it was nice to breath some fresh air. But the climb back upstairs when I got home was not fun. That darned right hip gives me such pain when I make it work for me. It's much lazier than the rest of my body and screams when I use it. But I made that last bound over the metal casing on the vinyl flooring at the end of the hallway which is by far the toughest part of the journey. That was only accomplished with the help of my grandson. My outing was a positive one. I may try it again at some point. I'm in no hurry.

That sounds like quite the ordeal. I'm glad there were some good parts to it.

It was nice to get out for a little bit and breath in some semi fresh air.

I'm sorry you have that much trouble using your right hip/leg. Have you spoken with a doctor about it? There might be a pain medication that will help that you can take before you need to leave your house.

Oh, yes. I have arthritis in it and it can be bad. I should have taken a pain pill since I knew I was going out. I forgot and payed for it. They have never given me anything but Tylenol or such.

The more you use it, likelier the easier it will be for you to move...even if it hurts like heck at first.

That's just it . I don't use it except to go to the water closet. That is only about 10 steps away from my room.

I can relate to the pain when going out and the struggle. My knees hate when I have to leave the house but there are times when I force myself just so I keep a bit active.

I need to be much more active. It just isn't a habit I have acquired so hard to get going with it. I need to.
