More than half over

Well, this is Thursday. My work week is more than half over.
I started the week being notified about my former student passing away in his sleep.
This year the way classes are set up keeps people from having a regular set schedule. This is bothering a lot of us, because we do not know who we are or what we are doing.
Yesterday I covered with a kindergartener (5 yr. old) because the person who does that was out. I went swimming with structured class. I have one really set thing that I do with a first grade girl, so I did that. Then again, covering for an absence, I worked with her later as well. I enjoy it all.
Today I will leave work at 2:00 to see the cardiologist, basically just establishing service with him. Other than being overweight and having cholesterol issues a tiny bit I am not aware of any heart problems. Bob will go with me, then we will also do errands in Newton, where the doctor is.
It is almost 7 a.m. and I have some more daily prep to get done. I will try to catch up more later.

I'm not a spontaneous person and like a set schedule. This must be driving you crazy!! Good luck with the cardiologist. Have a good weekend.

What should have been a thirty minute visit turned into 2 and 1/2 hrs. First, they had changed software and my records did not get migrated, so they had to build a chart. That was ok because the doctor was called out to two different emergencies. The weather was changing, it had gotten dark, so we ate at Arby's and headed on home.

It was a mess. Problems because of migrating charts when changing software. Also problems with Doc. being called out to two emergencies.

Thanks. I ended up doing those errands on Saturday because the doctor visit ran very late.

I never liked odd schedules. After a while, I told the boss that I would quit if I had to keep doing the odd schedules. He told me "goodbye", so I clocked out and headed home. He called before I got home and asked where I had gone... I told him he told me goodbye so I clocked out and left. I thought he was firing me.
He told me to come back because he was joking and was setting up a permanent schedule for me.
I hope your doctor appointment goes well.

Aside from the lateness, I was told mostly what I expected. He wants me to take Repatha and HANDED ME A SAMPLE ( other cardiologist never offered). It is time for a stress test and EKG so those have to be scheduled. EKG can be done locally but the stress test will be in Newton. NO CAFFEINE for 24 hours.

@GardenGerty I hope everything goes well for you. Oh, NICE! Most doctors don't give free samples anymore.
I had a stress test and EKG a couple of years ago. It was NOT fun! Yeah, EKG was done in the local hospital but the stress test had to be done in a hospital in Springfield. (The doctor wanted me to run on a treadmill but I couldn't run long enough to get my heart rate to the level it needed to reach so they gave me a shot to increase the stress and then gave me Dr Pepper to counteract the shot afterwards.)
I take a daily tablet for cholesterol but that's it. The doctor said the Ozempic would help control my blood sugar, help with diabetes, help my liver as well as my heart and kidneys. That's the reason she was able to get me to take the shots.

I did not need labs for this visit. This doctor did say that the special test I took three years ago, that made my doctor want a cardiologist for me, was not a bad result. The other cardiologist I had acted like it was terrible.

Covering for someone who was covering for someone before Christmas was pretty set. The first grade girl was part of that package and they liked me with her so well, that is why I have her now. This has been a year of pregnancy at our school with some of them (4 out of 5) being high risk. That is part of the shifting schedules.

When the next person goes on maternity leave it will settle some. I am following someone who will be covering her position.
