It took just a half second

Yup. Barely a blink of my eye and the world shifted. Hubby handed me my wallet. I had the idea to pull my debit card from the wallet so that I could gas up the car. My hands have been hurting more and my fingers are probably swollen. Anyway, that tiny movement of pulling the card out, every day movement. My fingers quit working well and my debit card flew to where??? I am delighted with my little car and its great gas mileage. Sometimes the car fails me. That debit card could be between the seats, in the cracks. Possibly. Probably. You bet both hubby and me searched, poked, prodded. I even managed to crawl into the back seat for another view. And panicked trying to get out as my knees crunched cause hubby was in the house by then.
We have a second bank account so I will use that card until the new debit card arrives next week. I feel guilty. Like I did an awful thing. And it is awful. My hands are just not cooperating as much as they used to. On we go- I'm lounging in hubby's new and sweet recliner while he naps upstairs.
We went to the pool this morning then the debit card disaster happened.

I am thankful that physical cards are still an option. I'm also greatful replacing them isn't as tedious as it once was, but it's times like this that I'm also thankful for smart phones and NFC technoligies that allow my phone and or watch to act as my wallet.

I have had a lot of debit card drama here. I just got another one and activated it this morning. A pfroblem was involved. Be glad you don't have one of those. Sorry about your fingers. Mine hurt sometimes from over use, but I basically ignore it...or rest them.

I've done that. Arthritis can get anyone... Luckily, Pretty is still able to crawl all around and find things that get away from me.
I'm glad you have another account you can use until you get a new card.

Sorry you lost the card. Getting older really does suck.

This sounds weird, but those little cards can just flip and fly places we don't think of. Check the clothing you were wearing, and also look outside the car by the door. Just to be sure. It's not awful, it's fixable. I am just sorry your hands are not so good.

I am glad that we have a much faster processing when we needed replacements for our cards. God bless.

Sorry about that I know that can be very distressing. My fingers have been nuimbing up a bit lately but once I get back to working on the keyboard, they go back to normal.
