Living the pistachio dream

So, today is the day I am going to try that Starbucks pistachio latte I have had my eye on. Funny thing about pistachio, when I was about 4 years old we stopped at a then ubiquitous Howard Johnsons on the New York throughway. Their claim to fame at the time, other than clam strips were their 28 flavors of ice cream. My parents asked what I wanted. The pistachio was an intriguing green color and I pointed it out..my mom told me it was pistachio..and I liked it.

I haven’t had pistachio ice cream in years. And the latte sounds yummy to me. I hardly ever have a latte as I prefer my boring black coffee, but it does sound delicious!

Other than a little trip to the Starbuck's in Barnes and Noble one day last summer, when my daughter and I stopped there, I can't even remember when I have been to one. I just make coffee at home and haul it around in my Contigo cup, works for me! Since I prefer black to anything else, it's just easier and cheaper for me.

Another pistachio thing that I will try today is Dubai chocolate. Ollie's has some that comes from the Middle East so it should be fairly authentic.

Clam strips? Yum. One of my favorites to get at Red Lobster. I can take it or leave it when it comes to pistachio.

I love pistachios and pistachio ice cream. Didn't know Starbucks had a pistachio latte. Just might have to try that myself
