FYI on Laundry Pods

I have never used this form of laundry detergent. I felt it was expensive and I wasn't sure I would really get enough in the washer to do the cleaning. So, when I got a email on the subject I read it. It said that each laundry pod actually costs the consumer 50% more per load. Researchers have also found that 75% of plastics leftover travel down the drains and end up in the public water supply. They also find traces of PVA in fish and even human breast milk. PVA stands for polyvinyl alcohol. While it is biodegradable, but it can result in microplastics which can enter our food chain and can cause risk to humans and aquatic life. It can cause raspatory irritation, skin and eye irritation, and can disrupt the quality of the public water supply.

I used those when they first came out but switched back to the liquid laundry detergent. I found out I was allergic to anything except Arm & Hammer detergent and it didn't come out in pods yet. I still use Arm & Hammer liquid laundry detergent.

I used to use Arm & Hammer too. It's a good product.

@celticeagle Yes, it is. Everything else seems to make my allergies flare up.

I use a powder. I wouldn't bother with pods.

I have not used them. I want to be able to control amounts of detergent, etc. Some people are waking up to the cost of the convenience of pods.

They're so cute and easy to use but they are dangerous or health hazard when they're ingested.

I personally only use liquid laundry soap. I used to use powder, but I would sneeze and couldn't use it without doing so. So, nope. I use dishwasher pods, though.

We all share a washing machine here and the boys get liquid detergent.
