I think all plugs that fit into your cell phone should be the same. I think all plugs that fit into your laptop should be the same If you have a charger than it should charge anything that you have. The battery in your cell phone should fit all cell phones. That way if a battery quits working. You can replace it with any battery. If the plug in your cell phone quits working you can buy any plug and it will work. How come everything is not that way.

I think its dumb that the new iphones are c chargers like android phones. Why couldnt they of done that YEARS ago. Lol, although the cord that charges my laptop is a c charger so it can charge chris phone, and my tablet and she childs gaming stuff

I think there is ISO, and the reason why things aren't the same because every day they learned new things, invented new things that are better and most effective than the old one. Like the TYPE C charger, it was designed to make plugging in easier, because it works in any orientation—even without looking.

There are some things we'll never understand, like some of the plugs on my appliances that need to be plugged into a special outlet that has a big hole for that big third something under the regular plug in,

Right! I had to order new things for Florida. I thought I had extras, so only brought my smartwatch charger with me. What a pain in the neck and a waste of money! Grrrrrr

Having a different plug for each item is a pain in the butt. They should all be the same.

The European Union has mandated that all phones and tablets must use the same USB-C charging port by Autumn 2024 to reduce electronic waste and confusion for consumers.

@jstory07 - I agree, I have 4 different phones that were produced before 2024 and each one has a different charger. It was ridiculous.

I hear you! Life would be so much easier! One charger, one battery type, no more digging through drawers full of random cables. You know what, I really think its all about business, money, profit. These brands wanting control and profit, not convenience. Still, a universal standard would save money, time, and a lot of frustration.
