And my friend Dixie tells me that I should NOT say that to HER friend. But her friend, at too many times, is dumb and more than dumb. I told you that I would NOT make another risotto after I ended almost destroyed when I cooked the seafood risotto for Alejandra´s birthday. Yet here I am, less than a month after that, checking the fresh mussels, discovering that they are cheap and buying a kilo. Fresh mussels have to be cleaned, put to boil in little water, place them soon in a Tupperware and to the freezer. Except that tomorrow comes the vet for brunch and I have to make room at the dinner table. We are putting together a jigsaw puzzle with Martín and for the moment the dining room table is extended and full of pieces. I had made a special grocery list to buy some nice things for Kharla, the vet. But I had to se and buy the mussels I still have to clean up the kitchen, wait until the mussels are warm, take them out of their shells and go to the garbage can with the shells. And it is over 10 pm and my knees and fingers hurt. Tomorrow I´ll shower early and make room at the dining room table. Of course I have to curse! I don´t mind if I´m Dixie´s best friend. Said friend is more than dumb.
