Mixed up some English Muffin dough

The big cooking plan for today is to make my dad's bolognese but the Dutch Oven is currently in the dishwasher so I have to hold off on that for like an hour. In the meantime though I decided to mix up Bravetart's English Muffin dough. It is on its first rise but it will have to rise overnight in the fridge so they won't be ready until at least tomorrow night. Oh well. In any case they are super easy to make and great to keep in the freezer for quick breakfasts. They will also encourage me to get more protein in my life because I'll make bacon/egg/cheese sandwiches with them in the morning. Serious Eats has a recipe for them online but it is different from the one in her baking book. I used the recipe from the book. I've made it several times before and have always had good results.

I can’t imagine making my own English muffins. When people in your family cook, are they cooking from scratch like you?

They are easy enough to do. It just takes time with the overnight proof. No one in my family cooks like I do.

Most of the time for me I can't do it from scratch for baking

I have never tried to make English Muffin dough but it might be fun to try. I am heading to Serious Eats for the recipe. Wish me luck.

the recipe online is slightly different from the one in her book but I'm sure it is great. Stella Parks' recipes are always great.

Sounds like an international thing, English muffins in a Dutch oven. Too bad you didn’t have French toast for breakfast.

I am enjoying the NY-style rye bread I got at Walmart for my sandwiches, But I do remember that I baked a lot of bread in Latvia and froze some loaves. We always saved that way. I Never thought of making English muffins.

That's pretty cool that you're making your own English muffins. You're giving me an appetite now.

I would like to make a big batch of blonde brownies. My husband always liked them with just a few chips...I liked a lot.

I just bought Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches with English muffins, eggs, sausage and cheese. I used to make breakfast sandwiches and freeze them but mine tasted exactly like the Jimmy Dean ones and took much less time to make. I hope you'll enjoy them.

I made blueberry muffins last night from the wild blueberries my cousin picks from her home property in northern Minnesota. They are so, so sweet and delicious. She brought me some dried ones and some frozen this past fall. So sweet and yummy! I have made English muffins before, but it's been a while. They sound delicious to me!

It's been a while since I baked I know it will come out good given the good steps you've followed for it's preparation.
