It sounds as if the dog was walking off lead, and the owner should be more responsible, and keep her dog leashed at all time, if this was the case, as I do not see a dog getting free to run after a deer, otherwise. Perhaps, she will think twice next time about letting her dog roam free, as she was lucky to get it back this time around.

@Deepizzaguy Well, that explains how the dog got free. I have seen this myself where an owner cannot control a large dog, and perhaps they should have chosen a smaller one for themselves instead of the larger one.

@innertalks The reason my relatives used to own large dogs for protection.

The dog overpowered her owner when he saw the deer and ran away from her.

How very nice that Hank had been found. Survive quite a while in the snow too. I think his name should be "Miracle Hank" now.

That is what I am thinking that Hank needs a nickname.

I love that name Hank for her dog. Certainly amazing that he was found especially since it's been so cold. I'm sure Kelly was happy to have Hank back home
