Count Down to House Living

The last four days have been a whirlwind of activity at the house with carpet going in, paint, trim, and the stairs all being worked on. There’s still a bit left to do, and then they can level the outside and get the rest of the gravel down. For the first time, I can truly feel the end of full-time trailer living. I’ll be able to get back to hosting when I’m up to it. Maybe I’ll learn to love my trailer again someday, but right now, having a house is going to feel absolutely amazing. Thank you all for letting me vent and for the incredible support. You are truly amazing. I’m off to bed now and will check in tomorrow to catch up. Photo is partial living room that leads into the kitchen. They are laying the carpet and supposed to be done with that tomorrow. I hope all of you had a wonderful day. Sleep well.

Thank you. I wish they came today but they are working on many others too. I'm getting excited. I hope your day is going well. I'm going to get under the covers. I'll be back tomorrow and spend some time here.

@LadyDuck That's a good thing you went out before it rained. Fog can be scary to drive and sometimes, walking in.

Thank you. It's different and I think gives warmth. I hope they come back Monday. They didn't come today, but they have over 100 houses they've been working on to finish.

Thank you. It's been almost a year of the building, property and all. Still much to do but this is the most I've seen in a long time. They didn't come today. Go figure.

@MarieCoyle We still have to have the issue of the water heater verses the super high pressure with the water, but need the house move in ready. Hoping they will work hard on it this week.

Thank you. Me too. I hope by the end of the month. There has to be another inspection by the bank and the walk through with the house company. Final permit inspections. But, it's finally taking shape.
