Movies on a snowy day

Yesterday, I decided to go to the movies with my mom to see the new Avatar movie. It was snowing so I was hoping to catch the bus instead of having to walk to the movie theater the whole way. When I almost got to the bus stop, which took probably around 25 minutes, I noticed my bus passing by. There was no way I was going to make it, even if I ran, which could’ve resulted in me slipping, so decided not to chance it. The next bus would be half an hour wait so I just continued walking. It was adventurous walking in the snow and beautiful too. But when I was walking along a different street a bus went over a slushy dirty puddle and sprayed me, even after I moved further from the sidewalk, which I wasn’t happy about. I think it took a minimum of an hour for me to get to the theater. I did not mind the walk, minus being sprayed by slush and dirt. The movie was over three hours long, but I enjoyed it. My mom as well. Definitely glad we went to the movies. Afterwards, we went to a nearby Thai restaurant for dinner. We got chicken satay to share. Then each of us got our own soup. And we also shared a plate of beef pad Thai. For dessert we got some balls filled with molten coconut cream. We also got non-alcoholic drinks. Everything was delicious. I could not finish my soup and there was also some pad Thai left over as well so I took it home and now I get to enjoy it for dinner. Should still be pretty good. It was a pretty good day yesterday. Certainly beats today. I did not go anywhere and just stayed home. Can’t say it was fun. And now I regret it. I should’ve still gone somewhere, even though there was snow in the forecast for today.

I'm glad the day turned out well apart from being splashed. That happened to me once too.

I don’t mind being splashed if it’s not dirt and slush.

@lovebuglena Yes, clean water is different to dirt and slush.

She told me it’s the first movie that didn’t make her fall asleep.

I’m so glad you got out to enjoy yourself yesterday. It would be nice if you could do that more often, minus getting sprayed with slush.

So nice that the movie was enjoyable after such an adventure getting there. And, good food afterward doesn't hurt either.

Thankfully, I didn’t have to go to the bathroom in that time.

A new Avatar movie. I must see if I can get it online and watch it. We liked the other Avatar movies. Did your mum like the movie? Sorry you got splashed when the bus went past. Not good
