Who doesn't like a pretty flower?

Some time ago, we bought two hibiscus plants to place in the front garden. I’ve seen a couple of buds on it recently and today two very pretty blooms have opened out. They’re not the biggest I’ve ever seen but I’ll take them.
There are buds on the other plant so now I’ll be waiting impatiently to see what colour the flowers will be. Of course, I could always check the ticket that’s floating around somewhere. That would have a photo of the flower.

It's a pretty flower. I'm sure the other plant will also have pretty flowers, whatever color they are.
I used to grow miniature hibiscus plants at our last house. I brought seeds from it with me but couldn't find them after we unpacked and I was ready to plant them. (Mine had purple and white striped flowers.)

@JudyEv You're very welcome.
And yes, there are. I wish I still felt like planting and taking care of different flowering plants.

That's a lovely bloom and I can relate to the excitement that you would have seeing the first bloom. The other plant will have another gorgeous colour. I have this colour in my garden but in a bigger size.

@JudyEv Yes, the size might grow next year. This has happened with one of my hibiscus plant.

I am honestly way better at growing vegetables than flowers. But I grow some flowers, usually from seed. I like color so I have to have a few flowers.

The hibiscus flower pleases the eye ! I like Hibiscus rosa-sinensis too,but it can't suffer a cold winter.

We have a small hibiscus garden behind our house. We are interested in collecting hibiscus of different colours. We have to protect them as some girls use them as haircare ingredient. Some years ago, a woman used to steal them because red hibiscus flowers are used in worship of the goddess Kali.

I didn't know about them being used for haircare. I wonder what the goddess would think about a person stealing flowers even if they were to be given to her.

It doesn't look so good today. I think it doesn't like the excessive heat.

If she thought there was going to be frost, she would light a kerosene lamp and leave that in with the plants.
