A Lot of Interesting (I think anyway)Things in the News Today

Coming online today I found several articles that I found interesting. Here are a few:
* Jane Seymour is writing an autobiography. Early in her career she had many brushes with famous actors such as Laurence Olivier, Gloria Swanson, Mae West, and John Wayne. She is trying to decide how to get all the stories into her book. She has written other books such as Jane Seymour's Guide to Romantic Living and Two at a Time: Having Twins. She even co-authored a children's book. I have always thought she was a very interesting woman and have enjoyed all of her acting especially Somewhere in Time.
* Only about 4% of tariff burden is made by foreign firms. The rest is shouldered by none other--US, the American consumer. “The tariff functions not as a tax on foreign producers, but as a consumption tax on Americans,” Kiel researchers Julian Hinz, Aaron Lohmann, Hendrik Mahlkow and Anna Vorwig wrote. Many foreign exporters simply redirect their business to other markets. Trump hurts America not the foreign businesses he thinks he is coming down on. Many Americans don't seem to understand this. I'm sure many of us have known this for a long time but I for one was unsure of the actual percentages.
* My favorite article of the day had to do with Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dolly Parton. I have known for a long time that she is has been a driving force behind bringing Buffy back to television. This has been going on for years through her production company Sandollar Productions. Dolly is a stakeholder in the production of Buffy, the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale but has kept it hush hush until it was revealed recently.
The picture is from my collection.

I enjoy the acting work of Jane Seymour. Nice of her to tell her story of how she got into show business.

Trump has never known poverty. He has no idea what it is like.
