Happy Saturday Everyone! just wanted to check in and say hi before we get clobbered with the storm. It's not supposed to starting snowing until after midnight and then all day tomorrow. Looks and sounds like it's going to be a mess.
Both my daughters just left to go to Target and it should be interesting to see if it's jammed packed or not. From everything I've seen on the news all stores are crowded. I expect them to be back really quick as I think there won't even be any places to park. Of course I'd be happy to say I'm wrong and they get whatever they need without any trouble.
When they get back we'll have lunch and then my older daughter will head home before dark.
Today is my second oldest grandsons birthday
he's the last of the January birthdays in our family.
Can't say there's much else going on. Just waiting for the snow to start and hoping we get more snow than freezing rain/sleet and that we don't lose power.
Stay safe and warm to all myLotters dealing with this storm. For everyone else I hope you have sunshine and a beautiful day.

Getting snow starting at 2am Sunday. Calling for 7 inches with an inch of sleet, ugh. That should make snow shoveling which isn't fun anyway less so.
Yes, praying for no loss of power since I stocked up on groceries to weather this storm.

We have the sunshine and freezing temps. We're coming out of the deep freeze now. I'm even seeing it come up on the computer screen.
I hope your daughters can find what they need and a parking space too.
Happy Birthday to your grandson.

Has the snow started yet?
Oh wait, after midnight your time is behind us so it shouldn't be started yet
Oh well
I daresay you will let us know when it does

I hope they can find a way to get what they need. I so badly want to get out, but it’s just 7 F, and four inches of snow still isn’t good. We don’t get the worst until tonight. Most people aren’t even trying to sled; they know it’s dumb to take a chance to be outside.
Oklahoma had about 4,000 homes without power, but not near here. I think they are the small percentage that got ice instead of snow and sleet.
Keep us up to date if you can, on how you guys are doing.

I moved "south" (relatively speaking) to get away from the snow... but it seems to keep following me, first to Hamillton, then now in St Catharines. I don' like it.

I wish you well. From the sound of it you've got a good safe (but cold day) before it really hits.

I hope everything goes well for you there.
The forecast yesterday morning showed the sleet/icy rain would be South of my area but, around 2 pm, it started sleeting and kept it up all day... It still didn't amount to much when I went to sleep around 8 pm. When I woke up around 1 am, it had started snowing.
We have around 4 inches of combined sleet and snow on the ground this morning and it's still snowing.
