Sadie Got Out

I guess Sadie got cabin fever, because when someone knocked on my door, as soon as I cracked - and I do mean cracked - the door she shot out, and down the stairs. I turned around to grab some shoes, and a coat, but by the time I had my shoes on, she was right back up on the couch.
My dad went out and took some things to some of the elderly people in the church, and then came back a few hours later. He said the roads had been taken care of, but hardly anyone was out. He wasn’t planning to get out again anyway. Right when he got out it started to sleet again.

I'm glad Sadie came right back in again. I was afraid you'd let the squirrel take her on a date. 
I'm hardly hearing any traffic down our street. I hear people starting their vehicles but only to let them run a while and then shut them off again. (I need to go out and start our car and let it run, too... I just don't want to go out in the cold. [It's 10F with a RealFeel of -3F right now. There's a strong wind blowing, too.])

Oh, Sadie. You just didn’t believe Mom about how cold it. Is out there, did you?? I’m glad you decided to run back inside and I know your Mom is very glad, too.

Bruno stopped himself quickly. He begged to have the door opened and came running, then screeched to a halt when he saw the snow, or smelled the cold.

Glad she came right back. Patch border collie is bored with this weather. She has even found one of her toys that I forgot she had. I have no idea where it was but she did
