Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 24F degrees and dark here at the Jersey Shore. The snow is over but the cold temperature is still here.

I hate this weather. I'm up early after a couple of naps yesterday. They called school off in the early afternoon so my sleep schedule has decided to remain insane. Whatevs. A coworker is coming to shovel out my car today. That's the big plan for today. I might get to work on a cake. We shall see. What's everyone else up to today?

I don’t think I’ll try to go anywhere. My dad was able to, but I’m not as an experienced driver. Right now it’s 11 F, and I really wish I were still sleeping.

I'm currently working from home due to the weather. We're getting lots of snow at the moment. It's been really cold the last few days. Not too happy about that, but it is what it is. At least I am able to work from home today.

There used to be a tv advert over here recommending going to work on an egg. Your suggestion of going to work on a cake sounds much more tempting

Good morning. It is -2F in my part of Missouri this morning. We should reach a high of 19F by this afternoon, hopefully. I'm not enjoying this weather. Can you make a guess on how deep the snow got there? We're at just over food deep here. The roads have been cleared at least twice that I heard but cars/trucks are still slipping and sliding down our street. There is still a car in the ditch at the end of our street. (I saw people walking around it yesterday but they didn't pull it out yet.) That's the ditch Pretty has to help me steer around when I'm having trouble seeing but she insists we go somewhere anyway. She has a doctor appointment this Thursday but it's here in town. Wednesday we'll be above freezing so, hopefully, that will clear off the streets between here and there enough we don't go slipping and sliding. I did go out and start the car yesterday and let it run for half an hour to make sure it would still start. I didn't bother clearing the snow off of it, though. We still need to get the broom and snow shovel from the garage and clear off the porch and walkway up to the front door because we have a prescription delivery coming either today or tomorrow.
