Alexa is an idiot

This morning I asked her about the date before I was online, she told me I can tell you the weather, the stock market report, and today's news when you ask about the date. Would you like me to do that? OK, I say..she says..I can't do that!! Obviously, it is a skill that has to be set up, but she made it seem like something she could do herself. Alexa can be really dumb at times. I am going to see if I can upgrade to Alexa plus.

They want you to add everything to it.

I was just agreeing with something she said she could already do.

Alexa should go back to the factory for a few tweaks...However, of course they want everyone to buy an upgraded model.

Several years back, I was gifted an Alexa. It makes me crazy, it comments when I don't ask it anything, the tv seems to set it off at times...honestly, my life has enough tech stuff without Alexa. She now resides in a drawer and she will stay there for now.

Lol I don't trust AI after it made unforgivable errors in an academic report

Yes, they often have to be double checked. Also, another thing I have noticed with AI in general is that it will give you one answer one time, and change it if you ask again.
