Jeremy Way who is a United States Navy rescue swimmer for 17 years of service was eating a meal at Bubba's Restaurant on Friday January 16 when a woman driver drove her auto in the Atlantic Ocean in Virginia Beach Virginia when he and another bystander jumped into the ocean with Jeremy getting the woman driver out of her auto while it was sinking into the ocean. After Jeremy was able to get the woman out of the sinking auto, he held her tight until first responders arrived to take her to a local hospital where she is expected to make a full recovery. Two brave and compassionate human beings. Nice ending. Hope the woman didn’t do it on purpose.

Wow, what an incredible act of bravery! Jeremy Way really showed what being a trained rescue swimmer is all about - talk about jumping into action, literally. Glad the woman is expected to make a full recovery!

Thank God Jeremy was there and acted quickly. How did her car end up in the water?

Most likely driver error due to a mechanical problem.

I wonder what happened for the woman to do that. She was lucky that a trained responder was on hand close-by to rescue her, as it is dangerous to be trapped in a sinking auto.

@Deepizzaguy That's good. Well it's not good But it is better than my thoughts about why she did it

@Deepizzaguy I bet. That would be a horrifying thing to watch someone drive into the water and drown.

It must have been a story since ABC News was one of the sources of the story.

It was fortuitous that expert help was sort of waiting to be of service. Humanity prevails as always and hope is never lost despite the spread cynicism.

I hope it was a mechanical error on her part while she was driving her auto.
