Tomorrow is the start of February. It’s Black History Month. This is the 100th anniversary of Black History Month, so I thought I’d celebrate with a list of great African-American musicians.
Unlike other countdowns, this one is strictly alphabetical. This was a hard enough list to narrow down to 28, never mind trying to pick a top ten out of the list!
Seriously, when Prince is your teaser, you can understand the magnitude of the quality!!!

It's already 1st of February here. We're in the Church to attend our Semi-annual conference.

Interesting countdown. I was never a big fan of Prince, and my biggest recollection of him is when he was having a fling with Sheena Easton. I was so jealous!

I saw Prince in concert back in the mid 1980s. It was his Purple Rain Concert. I went with one of my gal pals.

Hey! I recognize Prince and remember Purple Rain! It was/is a good song! A lot of my friends played it over and over and over again!

1999 is one of my absolute favorites. On New Year's Eve at work I played it about a thousand times.

I think there’s an instrumental or two in here, so you’ll be happy.

Having gone through the list in reverse, you could spend all year on the subject because there are so many famous ones.
