I Think My Own Grandson Might Get it Now

I was watching a couple of YT videos this morning when my grandson came in. He started watching them too. The one I was watching was about a woman who had been observing ICE activity. She took off from a ICE incident and ICE followed her. They stopped her by pulling in front of her car. Then they ordered her out of her car. She refused and they started pounding on her window and breaking it. My grandson was horrified. (He is a very gentle soul and doesn't pay attention to politics. He lives in his video game world most of the time.)
This is so typical of how people respond to what is actually going on in this country. They hear what ICE says about the incident (LIES) and believes them. But when they actually see the truth in a video it is such a shock.
So, anyway-- my daughter was going to run and errand and Josh said no. He didn't want his mom going out away from the apartment. She has an olive complexion, and he is scared she might get stopped by ICE. He was steamed up after watching the video.
Is this what our world has become?

We go out very rarely anymore. You just don't know what could happen in any situation you might find yourself in.

Authorities in many countries are telling their residents not to visit the U.S. They could be kidnapped off the streets. I hope it doesn't last much longer. Wake up people!

A good friend has a Hispanic granddaughter, age 15. One of her friends was temporarily detained by ICE, born here and a US citizen. So were her parents. None of them have ever been outside of the United States,and all were citizens. My friend’s granddaughter has the same situation. Friend got scared and had certified copies made for her granddaughter proving her citizenship. Yes, it has come to this. We lock up children here.

In many instances ICE won't look at identification. They just want the people taken in. I have heard they get bonuses.

Yes, it is. When you read something online, or see it in a video, you don't know what's real and what's fake. Ai is on the rise. Platforms like Youtube, are user-generated. Meaning anything can post anything on youtube. They are supposed to distinguish what Is or ISN"T AI-generated, but people don't. Because they want to get paid for views.
I am not saying that ICE isn't doing unlawful things and getting away with it, but you need to take what you watch or read with a grain of salt.

With all the AI it is hard. I am glad I have established some channels on YT that I trust, and I listen to them. I have learned some on how to determine if a channel's spokesman is AI and is a waste of my time. I take everything I get with a grain of salt. I have been around awhile, and I don't trust like I did when I was a young innocent just starting out in the world.
