@traceyjayne We had an electric blanket once but it was faulty and whenever I sat on the bed when it was switched on my hair, which was quite long, stood on end. All my other pleasures are quite innocent - custard, pasta, pesto, apple tart, treacle scones, Paris and Athens.

@xFiacre Are you saying the faulty electric blanket gave you a guilty pleasure? I’ve not had treacle scones, only plain, cheese, and fruit. Can’t say I’ve seen them anywhere. Is it an Irish delicacy?

@Orson_Kart Treacle and ginger is my favourite. My wife makes them every Sunday morning. Quite common here. Always bought them in the bakery in Diori Beg on holiday. Bakery’s closed now. Have to go somewhere else on holiday.

I have heard of Coronation Street. Do you get any American soap operas? I remember being in Australia, and they had several. I guess watching Ridiculousness is my guilty pleasure, along with drinking Coca-Cola.

Guilty? You should be ashamed watching Corrie! I too like chocolate, but I don’t feel guilty about it. My tv guilty pleasures are: Countdown (for Rachel Riley), Only Connect (for Victoria Coren), and anything with Nigella Lawson in. Now that she is taking over from Prue Leith, I’ll be watching that too.

@Traceyjayne Not the modern Corrie. My mother loved it and it was always on our tv in the 60’s and 70’s. I remember the old battle axe Ena Sharples, sitting in the snug with Minnie Cauldwell and slagging everyone off. Ena looked just like one of my grandmothers. Don’t worry about Rachel. I’ll look after her.

@Orson_Kart Ena reminded me of one of my Grandmothers too ….they both wore hairnets…..my Nan was lovely. My Dad was an extra in Corrie in the 60’s. I’m sure Pasha would have something to say about that !

How exciting Don't get why any of them are guilty pleasure I wouldn't be embarrassed about any of them A guilty pleasure is something you enjoy but feel a bit embarrassed about or think you shouldn't indulge in, often because it doesn't align with societal expectations or personal values. Examples include watching reality TV, eating certain foods, or enjoying nostalgic music. Which ones on your list apply to this definition - I don't get it. Now if I told you .....

@Traceyjayne Well like when me and Yvonne used to dance in gay clubs, That would be the one which resonated most as a guilty pleasure because it was quite varied and exciting and I knew it didn't align with what people expected of me
