Mistaken identity

MyLotter Fleur (@Fleura) wrote about looking for a missing ‘L’ (learner’s) plate and ending up finding two as she wasn’t sure the first one she found was their own. It reminded me of a story from Vince’s childhood. When he was young, he and all the neighbouring kids would play in the street along with their dogs. One of the dogs, Kipper, was found dead. It had been hit by a car when out roaming by itself. It was buried with due ceremony and a few tears but a couple of days later, Kipper turned up alive and well. It seemed they buried someone else’s dog. I found this a bit hard to believe but I guess if it’s the same size and colour you could mistake someone else’s dog for your own. The photo is of Mopsy, our friend's dog.

Well, that's weird... unless it was another dog from the same litter as Kipper. Some littermates do look almost identical.

Oh, that's a sad one. I hope they found the right one.

It happens, I was reading the story of someone who found her black cat hit by a car. She rushed the cat to the veterinary, and she spent more than $ 300 to save her cat. When back home she found HER cat waiting of the couch. She kept the rescued one also.

Oh dear, the poor dog. And of course the real owners would never know what happened to their dog.
