I haven’t seen anyone really talk about it here. Maybe because it is such a dark story. For those who don’t pay attention to American news, Savannah Guthrie is the anchor of The Today Show, a hugely popular national morning show. Her mother was discovered missing after her friend notified her adult children that she didn’t make it to church Sunday morning (in Arizona).
Her mother, Nancy, although 84, is sharp as a tack, and her house is definitely a crime scene, so they know she didn’t wander off. She does take important medication for blood pressure and her heart though, so it is vital they find her ASAP. Recently, Savannah and her two siblings have released a video asking the kidnapper to show she is still alive.
I can’t imagine the not knowing.

I strongly suspect she has passed by now, if she has not been getting medication. They say her pacemaker got turned off or stopped transmitting as of Sunday. It's a terrible story, and I feel really bad for the family.

I've never heard of that person and have no clue what you're talking about. Sorry, I haven't watched television in around 20 years.

@AmbiePam I haven't seen commercials (except what myLot forces me to see and I stop those as quickly as I physically can) since I was a teenager. I had cable television after I moved out of my mother's house at 18.
Even in hotels/motels, I never saw commercials. I use adblockers on my phone.

This really is a heart wrenching story and my big question is "why" her? Seems suspect to me and I wouldn't be surprised if it was a family member or someone close to the family.

I can't imagine the pain they all are going through. I doubt she is still alive as she has some medical conditions requiring medications. Heartbreaking.

I've been staying on top of it since I heard about it
I hate to think that they would find her alive after all
this time, when I 1st heard about it & been listening
to everything, I thought it would be some 1 that knows
her routine, so that means a family member or some 1
that she thought was a "friend" It is a sad story.

@AmbiePam It's so dangerous for the elderly to be
in a situation like this that it's not safe anymore.
