Was it worth $250?

Yes, yes it was.
My clinical trial notified me yesterday that my blood draw this month had a tube that was missing or could not be used, or whatever. Could I come back in and let them draw one tube of blood. For $250?
I took off work just a little over an hour early to do it today. Today was a good day to do it because I was not needed for any academic support. I had wanted to do it Monday when I was off, because Bob had an appointment Monday in Wichita, but they were closed.
The draw had to be completed and packaged by 3:45 for the courier. We got there at 3:30. I will receive $250 on my card in the next 24 hours. Very worth it.
From the clinic we went to Sam's Club, to stock up on paper goods.
We stopped for gas in El Dorado, about half way home. For roughly 20 miles when we left El Dorado, we were in a rain storm. Just a little lightning. It is warm and pleasant.
While Bob got gas, I went in Dillons to pick up kitty treats and three other items that we were not necessarily out of, but we would be soon.
So tomorrow I will have no reason to go anywhere at all. Best Valentine's present ever.
I may make it to bed early tonight, who knows?

Early to bed, huh? That would nice. Yeah, $250 is nothing to be sad about that's for sure. Nice that you get it so soon too.

Turned out to be actually $270, which is what they usually compensate me for my appointments.

Wow! That was definitely worth the time and trouble! I'm glad you were well compensated for the blood.
It started sprinkling here around 4 pm and is supposed to continue raining/storming all weekend. We need the rain. (Pretty went out this afternoon and broadcast clover seeds over about half the yard. The older neighbor has been sick so she didn't wake him up to ask if it was okay if we got part of his yard with the clover seed, too. It's still early enough in the planting season that we can ask him later.)
I hope you both have a wonderful weekend.

Nice one! Between blood samples and venesections, I've had loads of blood drawn over the last few years, and no-one's ever offered me a penny for it!

I am participating in a clinical trial that involves blood draws every month. Sometimes our Red Cross gives us Amazon gift cards for our draws, but that is usually $10 -$20.
