I have been nudged

A very gentle My Lotter just nudged my dull brain. Thanks.
And thanks to the online robot that keeps adding "giving" when I type in "thanks."
Let's see- last week we made it to the pool once. I am going to attempt to go twice this week. Yesterday was heart day so I made one of my simple cakes then used my immersion blender to whip up some tasty frosting. A little slurp of molasses in the frosting gave it a brown sugar after taste. Yes, there is a couple bites left.
Hubby and I sat at the dining room table and shared tea and cake and egg salad sandwiches. Peace. He gave me tasty chocolates last week- couldn't wait so I got them early. The silly!
Peter cat has entered his childhood for the third time now. He just had to have something up in the cupboard. I had stacked porcelain plates and small bowls on the counter- going to wash them in the morning. Peter cat made sure that I had nothing to wash. Just shards to put into a garbage bag. Silly me. Made me sad. Bavarian and American made pieces. Some day I will happen on another precious piece when I'm in a thrift store.
I hope you all are having giggle fests and tons of peace. Yes I am missing watching the Peace monks from my living room chair. I do intend to keep telling myself: I will have a peaceful day today.

Peace be with you. Peter sounds like a challenge..I just asked Nico if he would like another cat friend, he was non committal, concerned that another feline would eat his food and steal his lap.

@snowy22315 Hi Nico! It is hard to share a house with four other fur kids. I had to get Peter to move from the dining room table yesterday- double windows there so for sure he thinks of it as his.

@sallypup At least I assume it is spacious. You are lucky in that respect Peter.

@snowy22315 This house is elderly. Just over 2 thousand square feet but kind of chopped up between the upper and bottom floors. We gave away our largest dining room table cause it wouldn't fit into our space. The back porch is pretty nice sized but there is an odd kind of other house back there that has two little rooms and a pie safe alcove. I know. Weird but okay if a person is into old houses.

@DianneN I am trying to forgive goofy Peter. We had a time with him when we wanted to have our tea yesterday. He thinks the dining room table is his cause there are windows there. I used a very lovely Bavarian teapot that is one of a kind. You would have heard me scream in Florida if it had gotten damaged.

I'm glad you and your hubby had a good Valentine's Day... even if you did get your candy early.
(I always gave mom and Pretty their candies early, too.
)
Egg salad sandwiches are always good.
I think all cats are like that. Mom wouldn't let them in the house because she had too many glass items on shelves and tables and didn't want them broken. (I don't know which of my siblings took them when mom passed away.)
I'm lying across my bed visiting with everybody on myLot after sleeping most of the day.

@sallypup I hope she tried to sell them instead of throwing them out. Sets can go for quite a lot of money nowadays. (I sold several dozen sets of playing cards for $2,000 when we were moving into this house. Some of them came from India and Mexico that friends had sent to me when they were on vacation.)

@DaddyEvil Glass items...... I wonder what all was dumped when Mom left Missouri? She was given pig statues for over 40 years. I bet the dumpster was crammed.

@DaddyEvil She did try to sell and nobody wanted them. I have two piggie salt and pepper sets that were Moms. They're from the 40's or 50's.

@wolfgirl569 Peter is a rascal. He hissed at me the other day when I didn't let him outside.

What a wonderful and special Valentine tea-time you fixed to enjoy. I feel badly about your dishes...I inherited so many lovely sets of china, everyone who had china has passed, and earmarked what they had for me. I got rid of so many sets, it was ridiculous. I kept one small set, which is so old and fragile--belonged to my great grandmother. Then there is the HUGE batch of pink toile china, with what seems like a thousand pieces. It is currently in two huge heavy duty tubs. I simply do not have a place for it anywhere. If you were here closer, I would gladly share it with you. China should be enjoyed, not stored.
No giggle fests today...son and I took naps. We are both way, way off kilter with our sleeping patterns. If he can't sleep, I can't either...then we get it turned around and then he will have another round of extremely restless sleep and we start all over again. We will get there.
I cannot say how much I miss tracking the monks, watching their progress, enjoying seeing so many people go out to support the peace walk. I hated for it to end. I do see constant postings of them and enjoyed a few of those. Their journey was phenomenal, selfless, and done out of love. I, too, strive for peace and for the constant hatred to stop.

@MarieCoyle I wish I could snoop in your treasure trove. I have had major sleep issues for far too long. I hope you two have had some rest today.

Just wonderful how those robots help us, like it or not. I do not make frosting often, but I will have to remember to stir in some molasses if I do. I am thinking of baking some cake "shells" to put dollops of pumpkin fluff into. It is not a healthy food, but it is a tasty food. The pumpkin part is healthy. The pie spice blend is healthy. Frozen whipped topping and dry pudding mix, not so much, but it is all tasty.

I’m sorry you lost those pieces. Peter would no doubt be sorry too, if he could talk.
Egg salad sandwiches sound delightful.
You’re going to have to call me a copycat soon. You’ve got me trying art-y things, and I had already decided to check out the Y when the pool opens again (it’s an outdoor pool). I think they might have a low income discount. My doctor told me it would be the best exercise for me.
