Reading Goal

My reading goal this year is 50 books, but I'm not too sure if I can pull it off.
Right now I'm in good shape with 2 books ahead of schedule.
I started to read all the Miss Marple books by Agatha Christie and they are so very good. She is such a great writer.

It's Goodreads fault!
They have a reading challenge and now I'm super aware how many books I read. I love Goodreads too much.

No, I don't bother with reading goals. I normally average around 200 books in a year. (This year I'm reading multiple ebooks in one volume so it doesn't seem like as many. My Kindle says I've read 8 ebooks so far this year.)
The book I'm currently reading is called "The Lawrence Watt-Evans Fantasy Megapack".

I never heard of him before so I looked him up and looked at his books. Looks interesting, but not for me.

@DaddyEvil There are many Christian authors I like, and I read a lot of books dealing with war, emps, zombies and aliens. Most are not well known since I have Kindle Unlimited and only read from this list.
Have you read David Moody before?

I can blame it on Goodreads. I'm on that site way too much and they have a self-reading challenge, or I wouldn't know either.

I love to read and have actually read all those MIss Marple books years ago. I haven't actually set myself a "goal" for this year but I probably will read at least 50 books.

@misunderstood_zombie I find I read in spurts and it depends on how much free time I have to get lost in a book. Sometimes it takes me more than a few days to finish a book and other times I can zip through in no time.
Even if you can't meet your goal of 50 at least make your goal to read books you really enjoy.

I don't have a goasl I just read the books I have and at time I reread them as well, I partcularly like classics and books that come in a series,

Last year, my reading goal was 77 books. I ended up only reading 47 books so this year I kept the same goal of 77 books. Hopefully I can reach it or at least get as close to it as possible.
I don’t know how people manage to read hundreds of books a year. Unless maybe they do audio books and speed up how they are read.

You can keep up with your books on Goodreads. That's the only reason I know how many I read.

Those are many books. Good luck achieving your goal.
I love the books of Agatha Christie. They are really good. Miss Marple is quite an interesting lady. I have seen some of Miss Marple movies. Have you seen them?
I also like Hercule Poirot in Agatha Christie’s books and movies.
