I Love to Bug Scammers

On several occasions I have run into scammers either on the phone, my computer or in emails. They make me so mad I love to mess with them. I've had about four instances.
The first one was about 3-4 years ago when a scam was going around where the scammer either had a large amount of money or they were giving you some object. But you needed to send them money to pay for shipping or something like that. So I got this one scammer to the point where I was going to go to the bank and get the money and he would call me back in a certain amount of time. I wait for his phone call back. He affirms that I have the money. Oh, no. i thought he wanted me to put the money in the bank. Or some such rubbish. Oh, he would get so mad at me. Then at the appropriate moment I would just hang up. He'd try back and I wouldn't answer. I love to infuriate them.
Now there seems to be a new scam on Facebook. They get you to answer a question in one of the thousands of groups there now. Then they answer back to your messenger with this question. What would you do if I sent you $50,000? This dorky named person (fake I am sure) messages me with that question. I was bored and so I messaged back with some smart remark. He kept at me. He just needed my name and address, and he would bring the money right to me. I would tell him I knew exactly what he was doing and I would never send him that info. But I am being so nice and just want to help you. He went on and on for a long time. I went on and on too. And, get this...... The next day he came on again asking if I would talk to him. Oh, my goodness. I wonder if these people accumulate a lot of info and then they sell it to scammers or how exactly this works. But it is a big thing on FB right now. Lots of groups and people join and then they get messaged by these scammers.

I try my best not to deal with them. I once told one scammer who called that I was busy making dinner. I told him I’d call right back if he’d give me his phone number. He hung up. Someone else wanted to buy my house. I told him that was great and I wanted to sell it. He asked how much I wanted to sell it for, and I gave him some ridiculous amount. He hung up.

I have to be careful myself when a scam artists who ask for me for money to repair my computer or get money from an unknown source like a sweepstakes entry prize. I just ignore them.

Vince has messed with a lot of these scammers too. Some do get very angry with him.

I did not hear about this Facebook thing. I hope people don’t fall for it.

There are so many scammers and hackers out there that it takes a lot of the pleasure out of being online or answering the phone.

It boggles my mind how many scams there are and how many people fall for them. It's really sad.
Thankfully I don't get many but my latest is for someone with a name I don't know who is going to be served with court papers.

Scammers are lurking somewhere. They take by the hand when you're too excited to earn instant money.
