Don't get stung

Another of our stops on our bus trip was at a small place which specialises in honey products. There was a variety of honeys made from various plant/tree species from Western Australia. There was also hand and face creams on offer as well as honeycomb and other products I can’t remember. We liked this sign at the front of the place. I guess the bee-keeper is the owner/manager and this is his/her parking spot. Park there and the sign says you’ll be stung.

That's not a place I'd go to visit. Bees/Wasps seem to love to find me and sting me. Then I get to go visit doctors in the ER for a few days. NOT my favorite activity!

I heard that the bee venom stays in the body so each sting is worse. I didn't see a single bee there. The hives and processing were all done well away from this little shop.

@JudyEv If you ever do get stung by anything, you can use a hand-held hair dryer. Set it as hot as you can stand it and point it directly at the sting site. The heat causes the proteins in the venom to break down so the sting doesn't hurt anymore. About an hour later, more venom rises to the surface, making the sting ache again. Use the hair dryer again and that normally destabilizes the last of the proteins in the venom. Just be careful not to burn yourself with the hair dryer.

@DaddyEvil Thanks so much for that tip. I know bee stings do hurt and it would be magic to reduce the pain. I wonder if it works with other stings.

@JudyEv I really love the wild honey. Well, it's all good but the wild honey seems better somehow.

That's a humorous way of saying No parking. Love it. I wouldn't want to be stung. I've been stung by a bee once in our own garden when I was trying to pick our hibiscus flower. I didn't notice there was a bee inside until I felt that sudden pain in my thumb. The pain lasted for awhile.

I also like this sign, it's very funny, but I am sure that you could get stung if you go there not protected.
