So I learned today

I learned a lot in kindergarten today. (5 yrs. old to maybe just 6).
My schedule got shuffled due to some absences so I got extra time with littles.
I learned that I needed to have hard math problems, and if I do not have enough fingers I can borrow from someone else.
In my regular class I learned that I look 90 today.
How reassuring.
My routine was really off, and I had overslept. Maybe that was part of it.

I told the little 5 year old "Wow, that is a lot. It is a little more than what I am." and "Do you know anyone else who is 90?"

One child from Montessori told me that I might be ancient . Such innocence and fun! That's a perk of working with young children.

Ancient is a fun word for a little mind. So much better than "old". I can see how that child would love to find a reason to tell you you might be ancient. You and I are in good company, I guess.

Yes, a little kindergarten girl. I really do not look 90, at least according to most people. Usually people tell me I do not look my age at all.
