Black History Month Music: Stevie Wonder / myLot

And so we close the month and the celebration of the great black artists we’ve had throughout the various genres of music throughout the years. Our last artist today is the other one who’s still living (along with Smokey Robinson). What a living legend, too!! Stevie Wonder And I’m supposed to say something about this guy???? Who doesn’t know him?! (Okay, Daddy Evil, but he doesn’t know any music.

) Twenty five Grammy awards, plus the Lifetime Achievement Award, Presidential Medal of Freedom, Kennedy Center Honors recipient, an Oscar, and over 100 million records sold. There’s not a whole heck of a lot to say about him, because his seven decades of music speak so brilliantly for him. All I can add is, amen Stevie. Thanks for reading. You're right, I doubt you'd find very many people in the world who've not heard of him or his music. Ok, mostly his tunes ain't my style but I recognize talent when I hears it.

As you know, I saw Stevie at Leo's Casino when he was very young. His music is terrific.

I remember when he guest starred on The Cosby Show (back before we knew Cosby was a monster). I thought Stevie Wonder was just so cool. Of course, even before that I knew who he was.
