Black History Month Music: Stevie Wonder

And so we close the month and the celebration of the great black artists we’ve had throughout the various genres of music throughout the years. Our last artist today is the other one who’s still living (along with Smokey Robinson). What a living legend, too!!

And I’m supposed to say something about this guy???? Who doesn’t know him?! (Okay, Daddy Evil, but he doesn’t know any music. 
) Twenty five Grammy awards, plus the Lifetime Achievement Award, Presidential Medal of Freedom, Kennedy Center Honors recipient, an Oscar, and over 100 million records sold.
There’s not a whole heck of a lot to say about him, because his seven decades of music speak so brilliantly for him. All I can add is, amen Stevie.

I think he was born on May 13. Same day as my Dad so I’ve always remembered it.
