She was pleasant and chatty enough last night when I got here. I wasn't tired and couldn't sleep. I also couldn't figure out how to really dim the lights on my side though I did get them somewhat dim. I was up for most of the night. Her side was dark.
This morning she was on the phone with someone and giving them an update on her situation. Then she started complaining that she had a new roommate (me) who was up all night with the light on so she couldn't sleep. I just rolled my eyes. Then she called someone else and did the same thing. I was thinking "um hello I'm right here next to you".
She's been whining and complaining since I got here that they won't treat her painful stomach and memory issues. She's complained to doctors, nurses, techs, and anyone who will listen. Now her "boyfriend" is here and they both are arguing and complaining about it. They don't seem to understand that hospitals stabilize patients and try to determine the cause of issues but it is the job of specialist doctors to try to solve the situation.
This now has been going on for almost an hour this afternoon. I am ready to just start blasting music over here to try to drown them out.

I think I'd mention to nobody loudly enough for her to "accidentally overhear" that she could be sleeping instead of loudly complaining all the time. That would annoy the crap out of me!

I know you had to wait for the bed you have now, but you are allowed to at least ask if you can have a change of room/roommate. I hate sharing a hospital room. It’s not restful at all.
