Scottish people.
We don't seem to lose our purses and wallets a lot
Because we are tight with our money and are very careful with wallets and purses
But I have lost my wallet before.
But my losing my wallet is a boring story
So I want y,all to tell me interesting tales of lost wallets and purses
My wallet was basically empty when I lost it, I was lucky
No cards, only £5 in cash and not much else,
But what about you,
Did losing a purse or wallet cause you any hassle?
Cancel a card etc
How much cash did you lose?
Did anyone get the wallet or purse returned by the Police or someone else
Tales of wallet or purse loss here please

@ineeddentures I’m ultra careful with my wallet and it doesn’t go in my hip pocket. My wife on the other hand … well that’s another story.

It happens to us all
I don't even get to carry my wallet,

I lost my wallet once because of my carelessness. I was sitting in the car, and it came out from the side pocket of my trousers and fell outside the car. I went back to the same place once I found that I had lost it. I had little cash in the wallet, but I lost my PAN card, ID card, and driving license, which I never found, and I had to do an FIR and had to request renewing them.

@Ineeddentures Yes, that wasn't good and since then I take special care of my wallet. Also, not I don't keep all the cards in my wallet.

@Ineeddentures Thank you for thinking that. We all have our ups and downs, but losing a purse isn’t one of them.

I like the contents of my wallet too much to lose it.
Yvonne says I am a miser
And I tell her that's why we can have 4 month long holidays

My dad couldn’t find his wallet. He thought he had lost it. We searched everywhere in the house, but couldn’t find it. Thought maybe it was in the car, but it wasn’t there either. I went to the garage to take something out of the freezer and staring back at me was his black wallet. Never in a million years did I think to check the freezer when I was searching for his wallet. Now I know you gotta check in places where the things you’re looking for shouldn’t be.

@Ineeddentures I have no idea why it was in the freezer. Maybe he went to the freezer to put something away and accidentally left it there.

The last time I lost my wallet was a long time with 59 dollars inside. Now these days I do my best to keep wallet with me when I go to the clinic.

@Ineeddentures - As soon as I recovered after I fainted, I called our bank to block my card. They had already tried to use it.

I remember you telling me about the Miami attack
3 very brave guys, eh,
It's good that you cancelled your cards right away and never lost a lot of money
But being attacked, not good

I lost my mom's knock-off Gucci wallet when I was a university student. My mom just kept her wallet in the closet. One day, I decided to use it because it was just sitting there. It defeats its purpose, right? I had used it for several weeks before it got lost. Mom didn't say a word about it. I thought she would tell me off.

I don't think I have but I am more careful nowadays checking for my wallet and mobile often in my pockets.
It is a real bother to lose them.
A few young men tried to be rob me while landing in Paris from London through the Channel Tunnel train.
I would have been in misery as most of my valuables were inside.

@Ineeddentures That was in 2016. I was visiting my son in London who accompanied us to Paris, Amsterdam and Rome. I had two suit cases and while boarding the train, both my hands were lifting one suitcase each - easy prey then!
I was taken aback when no one seem to even bother as they took it as par for the course. I was prepared in a way with "deep pockets". My wallet was covered/protected by my hanky. I knew something was amiss and noticed the "protector" missing, later found it at some distance with three young men, who were obviously from Africa, looking away averting my gaze. They might have worked in unison passing the loot from one to another with me standing not a chance! While boarding, I knew I was accosted by them.
What a way to earn a living!

I've never lost my wallet or purse except when I was a child. I left it on a bench on the rapid transit line. When we got back, it was gone. All I lost was the purse and a picture I think. I do dream a lot about having my purse stolen or going somewhere to buy something; and I don't have my purse.

Over the years l have had dreams in which l either lost my purse or forgot it somewhere. Usually there is a good amount of money in it so l am really happy when l wake up and discover it was only a dream. Thankfully it has never happened in real life....

Your dream is quite a common dream.
I wonder why that is
But I can imagine it must be a relief waking up and realising it was only a dream

I had "lost" my wallet once when I had been to a town where some of my relatives lived. I hired a hand rickshaw, but after I reached there and looked for my wallet,, it was not in my pocket. I thought I had dropped it somewhere. I asked one one of my relatives for money and payed. After 15 minutes someone knocked at the door. It was the poor rickshaw puller who was holding my wallet in his hands. He handed over the wallet to me and told me the wallet was dropped in his rickshaw.

@Ineeddentures Of course, I was lucky, because the rickshaw puller was honest.

Many years ago, I left my whole pocketbook at a restaurant. But. I was lucky, the waitress contacted me to let me know and I was able to go get it.

Another example of honesty.
I often wonder what % of people would be so honest or take the time to return something or even contact the person who lost something to return it

I left my totebag with my wallet in it, in the grocery cart. I went right back to the store, but it was already gone. The police were patroling the lot and put in a report. A couple of hours later I got a buzz on my door. A woman returned my totebag complete with wallet and nothing missing. I was relieved to have it back.
