Ah.....Saturday Morning At Last / myLot

Good morning friends.

Finally it is Saturday morning. I love Saturday mornings. I like to get up when I wake, no alarm, nothing pressing to get up for, just to get up when I am well rested. I love to get a pot of coffee brewing, as it is a quiet process and doesn't wake my husband. And of course sipping my coffee and reading to being my day. Slow and relaxing. Nothing better in my books. Later on this morning we will go to the accountant's office to bring in our paperwork so that our taxes can be completed. It just seems like yesterday we did this, that year really flew by quickly. This afternoon we've been invited over to a friend's place. Both she and her husband love to cook and entertain, and they are preparing a nice spread to enjoy and catch up together with us. I hope that you are enjoying your morning too. ~Photo is mine

Your idea of starting out with a quiet morning with coffee is right up my alley. I like to ease into the day too. I just got my taxes back from the accountant so now it's just a matter of paying a small amount , I do agree that this year flew by. Enjoy a nice meal and time with your friends.

Your tax season is before ours is. The CRA didn't even begin accepting returns until last Tuesday. I picked up a nice little basket of spring flowers to bring to our friend.

@Juliaacv we have to have our taxes submitted by April 15 but I was glad to get mine done and in the mail this week. Spring flowers are such a nice idea and certainly pretty with all the winter doldrums. I'm sure your friend will appreciate them. You always have such good ideas

Thanks, that is the view from our back door deck when we lived in the rural village for all of those years. It is a sunny and mild day here today, nice to be out and about in it.

That is a lovely sunrise. We have a heavy storm crashing and banging here this morning. (I'm not sure if it stopped raining any time during the night. I know I opened my bedroom curtains while I was reading so I could watch the lightning flash and the rain flooding down. We're under a flash flood warning here until 7 am.) I'll be taking my morning nap soon. I hope you and your hubby have a very good day.

I try to rise early to enjoy the quietness and then plan my day. If I get up early enough and out for groceries early, I usually have time in the afternoon for a 20 minute nap.
